When we say that someone is wearing "rose-colored glasses," we are saying that
they are fooling themselves about something being better than it is. Most of
the time, it is preferable to see things realistically. But every now and then

t such a bad idea! You may be seeing someone in a negative light based on some
thing they have done or said, but if you could look past that and assume the b
est of them, it might work out in a good way. Believing in someone against the
odds can sometimes have a positive effect on them.
當我們說某個人戴著「玫瑰色的眼鏡」，我們說他們正在自欺欺人，
