剛找到我去年跟美國在台協會(AIT)的e-mail
關於美國公民單身證明一事:
We believe that when you are married here [...] the HHR office will
expect to see an Affidavit regarding single status notarized by AIT. This
can be done at AIT in approximately 30 minutes from the appointment time (you
make your own appointment online). It is possible that you could have this done at an 8:30 appointment on one
day (finished by 9:00am), have the AIT signature authenticated by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs here, and go to the your HHR office on the same
afternoon to be married. Actually, it is probably much more manageable to
plan to do these steps over a two day period.
[不過我們發現外交部就算是速件也需要一天的時間，所以最少也要兩天的時間]
