若你在一間有著老舊鐘擺的房子待上一段時間，那麼鐘擺的滴答聲彷彿在隨時提醒你時間流逝。時間隨著分針賽跑著，同時整點鐘擺的聲響也暗示著時間逝去。每隔一刻鐘，人生便多了一刻的過去，再也不復回。乍聽之下，時間無情的流逝看似十分殘忍且讓人陰鬱，但這同時也啟發、提醒自己，別再推延某些早該動工的事情。無論是實踐理想，或是許他人溝通隔閡，或是任何重要的事情，呣呣~你都不該再浪費多餘的時間。註: 時間殘忍但很公平，因為每個人所擁有的時間都是固定的。我們或許會因為一時的懶散而失去動去，或是焦躁、憂慮等心理因素而遲遲不肯動手，但仍不要忘記去面對。同時，也別責備浪費時間的自己，那些乍看浪費的細瑣時間，其實是給自己休息、喘息的動力來源。 If you have ever spent time in a room that contained a grandfather clock , you know how aware it can make you that time is ticking away.
