[問題] 什麼是"the subject of agent of knowledge"？
原文出自"Rethinking Standpoint Epistemology: What is 'Strong Objectivity'"：
For empiricist epistemology, the subject of agent of knowledge – that
which“knows” the “best beliefs” of the day – is supposed to have a
number of distinctive characteristics. First, this subject of knowledge is
culturally and historically disembodied or invisible because knowledge is
by definition universal. "Science says . . .," we are told. Whose science,
we can ask? The drug and cigarette companies? The Surgeon General's? The
National Institute of Health's? The science of the critics of the NIH'S
racism and sexism?
我看不懂"the subject of agent of knowledge"，是什麼？
"which“knows”the“best beliefs” of the day"應該翻譯成
「知道最好的信念者」嗎？
如果真是如此的話，"the subject of agent of knowledge"應該理解成
「造成知識的主體」嗎？
如果是"the subject of knowledge"，我知道是說「知識主體」，但多了個"agent"，
就想不通了，它有很多意思>"<
有「媒介」的意思，也有「行為者」的意思。
請大家幫忙解惑>"<
