Mr. O went back to his country after their first year. Nobody knew if he would be able to come back to Taiwan or not because he had a single-year contract. His boss wouldn't make the decision until February the next year. Because of the uncertainty, and of course the conscience, Marlon didn't stop herself flirting with a guy when Mr. O was not around. She unconsciously wanted to be dumped by Mr. O. Her conscience never gave up on this stubborn master, but she couldn't be the one who bring it up. To her, it would be like operating on herself and cutting a cancerous tumor without any anesthesia. Therefore, her conscience made her confess to Mr. O about the "affair" when he did come back. After the angry phase, Mr. O took her back somehow. Their second year was pretty beautiful, of course with the exception of the "affair" incidence mentioned above. Mr. O successfully rejected Mrs. O's intention of coming to Taiwan. He was almost single again. And she pretended that he was. Their happiness lasted. In the latter four years when Mr. O worked in Taiwan, they see each other 2-4 times every month. Although they lived in different cities, this distance of a 2-hour drive wasn't an obstacle at all. Instead, it made the heart fonder. She did everything for him, literally everything. She bought him a newest cell phone every year. His number was in her name. (which means she had to be responsible for the bill.) She had to drive to Costco before going down south everytime to get his favorite foods, such as US prime steaks, chicken rolls, pizza, imported juice, etc. (There was no Costco in his city at that time.) She cleaned his place, did his laundry, shop the grocery that he would need for the next week, filled his fridge up. She was like his private personal assistant. She helped him save money by finding cheap ways to make international phone calls. She made him CDs of Latin America musics. She brought her laptop to his place before he got his own PC. She ran all the errant for him. She did all that only because she wanted him to be happy. He trusted her so much that he let her go to the bank with him, and even just gave her the money and told her to wired it back to his country for him. She also helped him with his tax returns, doctor visits, and helped solving his foreign friends' problems when he asked her to. Guess what? You got it. She spoiled him.
