It may be because they are not trusting a stranger on the street to guide them to a place they have never visited before, and possibly wind up in the wrong place because the directions were wrong. Someone may criticize you for not seeking advice from a supposed authority, Virgo, but if you prefer to figure a current conundrum out on your own, then go for it.
